Confessions of a Failing Dental Student
Have you ever tried yo be your own dentist because you didn’t have any dental care benefits . I’m 52 years old and this is my story. Back in 2007 I had a badly abcessed tooth. I didn’t have dental insurance and did not have a job to pay the bills. I was also living in pain. To the point that I started having headaches because the infection had already spread to my right eye. My right side of my face was already swollen. After a while I gave in and called the dental office for an appointment.
They told me I had to have $240.00 up front before they would see me. It was only to get my tooth removed. The appointment wasn’t for another five days and I didn’t know if I could have tolerated the pain that long. I did’nt even have the funds for the dental procedure, no credit cards and it was the middle of the month. So there i sat crying in pain. Well I got my nerve up and decided to pull my tooth myself. Well you’ve heard of the tie a string to the door knob trick! Yes it had gotten that bad. I almost passed out after the first pull because of the incredible pain on the side of my face. So I cried some more. I took time for a moment of silent prayer. Finally the Tooth was being eased out. At that point it came out without any pain. After a consultation with the Dentist I realized I had been in potentially fatal situation.
Fortunately I am here today to share my testimonial, so others don’t go down the same road. That job should be left to the pros. Now I have my Ameri Plan USAAmeriDental and I can actually see a real pro now. Thank you, Ameriplan.
