Have you ever tried yo be your own dentist because you didn’t have any dental care benefits . I’m 52 years old and this is my story. Back in 2007 I had a badly abcessed tooth. I didn’t have dental insurance and did not have a job to pay the bills. I was also living in pain. To the point that I started having headaches because the infection had already spread to my right eye. My right side of my face was already swollen. After a while I gave in and called the dental office for an appointment.

They told me I had to have $240.00 up front before they would see me. It was only to get my tooth removed. The appointment wasn’t for another five days and I didn’t know if I could have tolerated the pain that long.
